Kitsap Reads is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting literature and literacy through community events in Kitsap County, Washington.

We grew out of Sinclair Inlet Books, an independent bookstore in Port Orchard. As the retail operation winds down, the nonprofit continues — concentrated on what matters most: bringing readers and writers together through events that wouldn't otherwise happen in our corner of the Puget Sound.

What we do

• Host author readings, book club gatherings, and literary events around Kitsap County
• Partner with libraries, schools, and community organizations to make books accessible
• Build the local reading culture event by event
